My hair is OK today; not its best, just OK. Hell, I’m at work, it’s not like a big date with all those expectations and uncertainties. So fine, the hair is OK.

Lessee, that last big date we took it on home and then he pulled on his pants and left. He was kind of a jerk even though he’s way up there in the store and said he might be able to put in a good word for me.

I think a little longer and a little lighter, maybe we’ll add some streaks.

Even though he’s a jerk maybe I should do him again and get something closer to a guarantee about talking me up to my boss.

Male or female, the one human feature that grants us near total control is our hair. And the stuff to do it takes a whole aisle in the supermarket. Men women and children, we lead lives of quiet desperation where what we do gets attention ahead of thinking about what we do does.
